Bond Denied For Pompano Beach Man Charged In Deadly Stabbing

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) - A Pompano Beach man, accused of stabbing his roommate to death, went before a judge Monday morning.

Bond was denied for Samuel Dulavoix, 22, who is charged with second degree murder in the death of 39-year old Rahmil Alexander.

Neighbors say the two men had shared an apartment on and off for about a year,  at 3208 Marine Drive.

Late Saturday night, BSO detectives say the two got into an argument over money and Dulavoix allegedly stabbed Alexander 25 times.

When deputies arrived, they say they found Dulavoix covered in blood and Alexander's body lying under a pile of bloody blankets.

"That was brutal, that was rage, that's not normal, that was not an argument over money, that was absolute rage," said neighbor Kerry Sharon.

Sharon said Alexander was a good neighbor.

"Rahmil was just very pleasant, always smiling, saying hello, you know, as kind as kind could be. Nobody had a problem with him," said Sharon.

Sharon said she would 'not' decribe Dulavoix and Alexander as roommates.

"Rahmil let him stay there when he had nowhere to go and that's the kind of person Rahmil was," said Sharon. "He let him stay there and then he had to have him leave, the landlord told him that he (Dulavoix) had to get out."

During Monday's hearing, Dulavoix's appointed attorney argued that he be released on bond to no avail.

Neighbors said Alexander's family is from the Chicago area and they are now making plans for his funeral.
