Boil Water Notice Issued For Parts of Pembroke Pines

PEMBROKE PINES( CBSMiami)-- The city of Pembroke Pines has issued a boil water notice to residents of certain areas.

Utility customers West of Interstate 75 should boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, washing dishes, or brushing teeth.

A rolling boil of at least one minute prior to consuming is sufficient.

Those who do not want to boil water can opt for bottled water.

The "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" will remain in effect until  tests are done to determine if the water is safe to drink.

The testing normally takes 2-3 days to complete.

The notice was sent out after a water line broke Thursday but was later repaired.
