Boil Water Alert Lifted For Apartments In Aventura's Point East Community

AVENTURA (CBSMiami) – A precautionary boil water order has been lifted for several apartment buildings in Aventura.

The order was issued June 2nd for 16 apartment buildings in the Point East community; the area affected was from Biscayne Boulevard at NE 178th Street to the Bay.

The boil order was issued after a 12-inch water main burst at 3000 Marcos Drive.

Repairs were made and several days of testing results revealed that contaminants in the water were at acceptable levels.

Residents no longer need to boil the water used for cooking and drinking.
