Body Found In Pompano Beach Canal

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) — A death investigation is underway after a body was pulled from a Pompano Beach canal.

It happened Monday morning near N Cypress Bend Drive and SW 26th Avenue.

Broward sheriff's investigators were called to the scene after a passerby spotted the body in the water.

The sheriff's office has not released the identity of the person or said how they died. They did say that no foul play is suspected.
