Body Found Floating In Water Near Biscayne Blvd

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Investigators are trying to find out what happened to a person found floating in a body of water in Miami.

Just before 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a man walking his dog near Biscayne Boulevard and NE 23rd Street spotted the body in the water.

The man immediately called police who along with crews removed the body and pronounced the person dead.

It is still unclear what caused that person to die.

At last check, homicide detectives were investigating the incident.

Authorities have not released the identity of the person.
