Bird Strike Forces JetBlue Flight To W. Palm Beach To Make Emergency Landing

NEW YORK (CBSMiami) - A JetBlue plane bound for West Palm Beach had to make an emergency landing Friday morning at John F. Kennedy International Airport after a bird hit the plane.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the incident happend around 9:30 a.m. just after the flight took off from Westchester County Airport in White Plains.

The FAA said the plane was diverted to JFK out of an abundance of caution. The flight landed around 10 a.m. Friday.

The JetBlue flight was carrying 142 passengers when the bird strike happened, no injuries were reported.
