Billick: Losing Makes Issues Get 'Blown Out of Proportion'

There was quite the fracas the fracas this week over things Ryan Tannehill might've said to teammates in a walkthrough in London. Much of that was cleared up by Tannehill yesterday.

A former NFL head coach gave us some insight on the situation.

"The problem is, and you know this Joe," Brian Billick says on the Joe Rose Show, "people who have never been in the locker room that don't know what that atmosphere is about on a team don't have the filter to understand when they hear and see something. That is different. It's a different mentality. That's not to excuse it. The things that go on in the locker room, the players understand what's being said and why it's being said. Not always good. But they understand the parameters so to speak. When you see that from the outside, you're gassed -- 'oh my God, how could that go on? This is a dysfunctional team.'

"Guys jawing at the prep team guys because they're picking off balls -- 'oh, you're trying to be all-prep team' and that type of thing. And you know that goes on but when you're losing all that gets so blown out of proportion."
