Big Rig Cab Sinks In Pembroke Pines Sinkhole

PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) – Crews are working to fix a sinkhole which nearly swallowed the front end of a large truck in Pembroke Pines.

According to Pembroke Pines Police, the hole opened up around 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the 14500 block of Pines Blvd. and the cab of a tractor trailer truck became partially submerged.

The truck was pulling into a parking lot near the Berkley and Jensen Wholesale Warehouse just east of Interstate 75 when the front wheels went through the pavement, police said.

It's believed a water man break caused the 8 to 10 foot deep sinkhole.

Crews are working to repair the leak and the sinkhole.

Nobody was hurt.
