MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A hanging chair, sold at Big Lots, is being recalled due to a fall hazard.

About 16,000 egg-shaped hanging chairs have been recalled because they can tip over when they face sideways and swing beyond the base, posing a fall hazard.

The chairs, made from brown plastic wicker pattern mesh and have red seat cushions, were sold at Big Lots from December 2014 through January 2015 for about $300.

Big Lots, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, has received eight reports of the chairs falling in stores with consumers in them, including five reports of minor injuries.

Anyone that has a hanging chair is asked to stop using them immediately and return the chairs to Big Lots for a full refund. Consumers can discard the base.
