Battery, Stalking Charges Dropped Against Jennifer Capriati

WEST PALM BEACH (CBSMiami/AP) - Now that she's done her community service hours and undergone anger management counseling, former tennis star Jennifer Capriati is off the hook for battery and stalking charges.

The charges leveled last year after she reportedly punched her former boyfriend Ivan Brannan at a gym on Valentine's Day, 2013, and of stalking him for months before that.

A spokesman for the Palm Beach County state attorney's office said Monday that Capriati completed 30 hours of community service at a Tampa hospital and four hours of anger management counseling under a deferred prosecution agreement. The case was dropped Monday morning.

The 37-year-old Capriati is an International Tennis Hall of Fame member who began her professional career at age 13. She was a gold medalist at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and also won the French and Australian opens.
