MIAMI SHORES (CBSMiami) -- Yunio Barrueta has plenty of tricks up his sleeve. The 6-5 guard from Barry University can fly – sporting a 42 inch vertical leap.

"I mean I can jump over somebody. Do reverse wind mills. Under the legs – different tricks." Says Barrueta.

He's trying to win the online vote in the Dark Horse Dunker competition. A victory will land him in the NCAA Dunk Contest at the end of March.

"I want to represent first me and Barry. It'll be a great opportunity – you know – to perform against high major division one players. I'm on ESPN. Who doesn't want to be on ESPN?"

Getting on the national scene wont just allow him to showcase his hops, but it'll bring more attention to the No. 5 scorer in all of Division II Basketball.

"I always come to the gym and work hard, you know. I always do extra, you know. I work a lot on my 3-point shooting, off the dribble shooting. Pretty much anything that involves shooting and scoring, you know. I can also rebound. I'm pretty versatile."
