Barry Bonds: "God knows I'm A Hall-Of-Famer"

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- As spring training kicked off this week, Barry Bonds began his first big league job since retiring from the game as the Miami Marlins hitting coach.
On Saturday, Bonds spoke with the media about the new job. The conversation, naturally, turned to the topic of the Hall of Fame.
"God knows I'm a Hall-of-Famer," Bonds told ESPN's Mark Saxon. "I know that I'm a Hall of Fame player."
And while he said he understands that it's up to the media to make that determination, he added that in his circle, the decision has always been a unanimous one.
"In my fraternity, in Major League Baseball, there's not one player that ever could sit there and say that I'm not one. There's not a coach who ever coached me that says I'm not one," Bonds said.
Baseball's all-time home run king finished his career with 762 long balls. His 1,996 RBI are good for 5th best all-time.
It'll likely take baseball fans a while to get used to seeing the former slugger in a Marlins jersey. Though, folks in Miami will warm up to the idea a lot quicker as soon as Giancarlo Stanton blasts a couple over the shortened Marlins Park fences.
