Baldinger: Garoppolo Could Be 'Best QB in AFC East'
By Josh Baumgard
Ryan Tannehill gets no respect.
Brian Baldinger became the latest to slight the Dolphins' quarterback when the former NFL lineman began hyping up Pats backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo, who will likely get starts -- his first as an NFL quarterback -- for however many games Tom Brady is suspended.
"I think he could still end up being the best quarterback in the AFC East," Baldinger said of Garoppolo on NFL Network.

-- Brian Baldinger on Jimmy Garoppolo
It's a bold claim to make about a quarterback who's thrown just 27 career passes after one year of playing professional football. It's even bolder when considering he was drafted in the end of the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft (62nd overall), behind four other quarterbacks.
That bold claim becomes downright comical when you consider Tannehill has improved each season since he's been in the league and finished 2014 passing for 4,045 yards, 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. All despite being among the most hit quarterbacks in football. Pro Football Focus even graded Tannehill as their 11th best quarterback last season.
But just 27 career passes and Baldinger already likens Garoppolo to Tony Romo.
Brian Baldinger: "When you watch Jimmy Garoppolo, he reminds you an awful lot of a young Tony Romo."
