MIAMI (CBSMiami) - It's almost time to load the shopping cart with pens, pencils, markers and everything else your child needs for the school year. But you may want to wait for Friday as the state's "tax-free holiday" is set to begin.

Florida's "tax-free holiday" for school supplies, clothing and some electronic equipment begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 7th and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 16th.

During the 10-day sales tax-free holiday, shoppers don't have to pay sales tax on any clothes, shoes and certain accessories worth $100 or less, school supplies worth $15 or less or on the first $750 of a personal computer, when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.
