Autopsy: Man Who Crashed Through Glass Ceiling Was Drunk

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Chicago doctor who crashed through a glass ceiling into the lobby of a popular Hollywood resort was drunk, according to an autopsy.

According to the Sun Sentinel, Hollywood police did not find any signs of foul play or suicide when Dr. Piotr Julesza fell to his death from a 23rd floor hotel balcony on November 17, 2013.

Kulesza, an assistant professor at Northwestern University in Illinois, was attending an oncology research conference at the hotel when he fell from his room's balcony and crashed through the glass-ceiling atrium in the hotel lobby.

The autopsy report stated Kulesza fell from his balcony about one and a half hours after returning to his room after having dinner and drinks at a bar within the hotel.

Kulesza had no drugs in his system, but his blood-alcohol level measured at .19, according to the report.
