Audio: Manish Mehta, New York Daily News

New York Daily News Jets Columnist Manish Mehta joined the Big O Show on WQAM to preview tonight's clash between the Dolphins and Jets on Monday Night Football, attributing much of the Jets' shortcomings this season to General Manager John Idzik.

"There are a lot of different people to blame here," Mehta said. "But, if you are going to put the primary blame on one person, it would have to be the general manager.

"He did not assemble a passable roster and I think that's pretty apparent when you look at the different holes that the Jets have had this year. It starts at quarterback, of course, with Geno Smith, who's clearly not the answer. It goes to cornerback, which is the most valued position in Rex Ryan's defense. John Idzik swung and missed in free agency. He didn't do enough this offseason through the draft to help out his head coach."
