MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The traffic pattern change on the 836 which was expected to start Monday, has been pushed back a week.

According to CBS4 news partner's the Miami Herald, rainy weather on Thursday has delayed the change from Monday until next week.

The pattern shift will have drivers, headed west on the Dolphin, 836, taking a different exit to get to West Flagler Street and NW 87th Avenue.

The change is part of the ongoing, $560-million project to overhaul the interchange linking the Dolphin with the Palmetto Expressway, 826, near Miami International Airport.

The change, the paper reports, will be in place for about five months to enable to workers to carry out other project work including demolition of a bridge.
