Anderson: Patience Needed in Development of NFL Quarterbacks

Former NFL running back Jamal Anderson thinks we need to instill some patience when evaluating the quarterback position.

"I still kind of have this old-school mentality where quarterbacks can develop," Anderson said on the Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz. "Everything in sports now is like boom boom boom. Listen man, it's the hardest position in [sports].

"Russell Wilson doesn't happen if the situation Russell Wilson is in doesn't happen -- the players he's around. It's fantastic that happened for him. But to me, I'm like if a guy continues to show me something, I'm going to continue to be on that guy's side because he's improving, he's working, he's getting better here, he's getting stronger here and I think that's the case for Ryan Tannehill."

Will Tannehill continue to rise among the ranks of NFL quarterbacks after inking a juicy contract extension?
