MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Amy's Kitchen has recalled nearly 74,000 cases of their products over Listeria concerns.

The California based company said they issued the voluntary recall after on of their suppliers notified them that they may have received organic spinach with the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

The recalled products were distributed to stores nationwide in the United States and in Canada.

Amy's Kitchen has notified its distributors and retailers and is taking this voluntary action as a precautionary measure. This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the Food and Drug Administration.

If you have bought any of the products listed on the recall chart, you are urged to return them to the store where they were purchased for an exchange or full refund.
