Amid Death Investigation Friends Remember Davie Murder Victim

DAVIE (CBSMiami) -- Three days after she was found murdered in her Davie home condolences are pouring in for 59-year old Jill Su.

"The world has lost a bright light," wrote one friend online.

"We loved Jill.  She will be greatly missed. The world will smile a little less without her," said another.

Sandy Levy owner of Empire Pizza Cafe in Ft. Lauderdale is among the many people who are mourning Su's death.

"We were shocked and terribly upset.I can't believe this happened," said Levy.

Levy remembers Su would bring her children to her restaurant in Plantation and remembers her as a very kind, loving mother to her two children.

'It's horrific, I'm sad for them," said Levy.

The case is getting national attention because Su has ties to the billion dollar Halliburton oil empire and because she is married to renowned University of Florida entomologist Dr. Nan Yao Su.

"She never boasted or never made herself bigger than she was and I appreciated it so," said Levy.

Police are working around the clock to solve the crime.

"We are reviewing surveillance and waiting on phone records, putting it together to make an arrest in this case," said Capt. Dale Engle of the Davie Police Department.

Police said a relative found Su's body Monday afternoon.

They confirm a glass door was smashed near the pool but won't say whether the house was robbed.
