MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The people have spoken and AMC Theaters said they've listened.

A few days ago, the company said they were exploring the idea of allowing movie goers to text in a small selection of their theaters.

As word spread, movie goers who weren't happy about this let their feelings be known. On Tuesday, the company posted on Twitter that they heard the message from their customers loud and clear.

Aron goes on to say they plan to focus on their attention on investing more than a billion dollars in their theaters, including more large screens, upgraded sound systems, equipping more theaters with their popular recliners and working on new menu items.
