Homestead Police: 2-Year-Old Jesmine Cedillo-Ramirez Found Safe, Father Still On The Run

MIAMI (CBSMiami) — The Amber Alert for 2-year-old Jesmine Cedillo-Ramirez has been canceled after she was found Thursday night.

Homestead police said Jesmine was found safe and sound at a family friend's house.

While Jesmine is back in the arms of her mother, police said they're still looking for her father, Diego Cedillo-Hernandez, who took her without permission.

According to police, Cedillo-Hernandez took Jesmine from a small apartment complex on NE 9th Street in Homestead, fleeing in a 2006, white Hyundai Azera with FL tag number Z782JS.

Detectives found the vehicle, but Cedillo-Hernandez was nowhere to be seen.

Cedillo-Hernandez, who was last seen wearing a beige, green shirt and jeans, has a criminal history.

Law enforcement says if see him, contact police but do not approach.
