Alleged Smash & Grab Robber In Police Custody

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) -- A 23-year-old man who was wanted by Davie Police has been arrested for a burglary at a Hollywood restaurant.

The Hollywood Police Department said Hamilton Iraheta was taken into custody following a November 16th break-in at Las Vegas Restaurant at 2801 Stirling Road.

Investigators revealed that Iraheta's modus operandi was to smash the windows of businesses and take the cash drawers.

He's suspected of committing multiple business burglaries in Hollywood, Dania, Davie, Pembroke Pines and Cooper City, according to police.

Detectives said during his apprehension, he admitted to the most recent burglary, as well as others.
