PINECREST (CBSMiami) -- Two men were arrested after a UPS driver alerted police about suspicious activity in a Pinecrest neighborhood Tuesday.

The suspects, Jeremiah Davis, 19, and Robert Markeith Nickels, 21, were both seen jumping a fence along the 6300 block of 92nd Street by the UPS driver and entering a resident's yard, according to police.

As officers headed to the area, they saw the men exiting a property on the next block.

During the investigation, police said evidence revealed that they entered the home's porch through an unlocked door and used a clay brick to smash the impact-resistant glass door and door handle.

They were not able to get inside, however, and left about $2,000 worth of damage behind.

Police said both men have a criminal history.

Davis was wanted by South Miami Police for dozens of serial car burglaries and Nickels has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement as both a juvenile and adult.

They have been charged with burglary to an unoccupied dwelling and criminal mischief.
