MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — The last of eight men charged in a federal investigation into performance-enhancing drugs illegally provided to athletes through a South Florida clinic has pled guilty in federal court.

Yuri Sucart, cousin to New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, went before before U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga on Friday. Sucart admitted that he conspired with others to distribute human growth hormone to athletes, some of high school age.

Under a plea agreement with prosecutors, Sucart faces between eight and 14 months in prison at sentencing June 4th.

The seven others including Anthony Bosch, the former owner of the Biogenesis clinic in Coral Gables, have already pleaded guilty and received sentences ranging from probation to four years in prison.

Hundreds of athletes, both professional and amateur, received performance enhancing injections at the clinic—including Miami native A-Rod.

Baseball's investigation into use of banned substances resulted in the suspensions of 14 players, including Rodriguez for all of last season. A Sucart guilty plea means Rodriguez won't have to testify in open court.
