Al Golden: 'We Gotta Go to the Well Right Now'
As the 3-0 Miami Hurricanes ready themselves for a pass-heavy Cincinnati offense on the road this Thursday night, coach Al Golden wants to take it one day at a time.
"I think our leadership, the consistency going all the way back to January -- what type of team we want to be -- and just having a consistent approach everyday, no distractions, block it all out," Golden said on the Joe Rose Show. "I think we gotta go to the well right now. We have to use that reservoir and just stay focused...
"It's the whole thing. We've got to learn how to do it. What a great challenge for us just to go one day at a time and we did that. I thought the guys were great. Gave them three days off. I thought we came back with a lot of energy yesterday and now we have money down on the red zone today. Really, Joe, you just hope the leaders and everybody can just stay focused on today. Forget about even Thursday night. We got a lot we have to learn today about Cincinnati and just take it one step at a time."
