EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE (CBSMiami/AP) — A second service member died after a parachute training accident in the Florida Panhandle, Air Force officials said.

The Air Force Special Operations Command said in a news release that the second airman died Tuesday from injuries sustained Monday during military freefall training at the Eglin Air Force Base range. Another airman was killed in the same accident.

The airmen were part of a special tactics unit assigned to Hurlburt Field. Air Force spokeswoman Erica Vega says the unit was practicing high-altitude free-fall jumps.

Officials haven't released the names of the airmen.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
