FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) –-A number of airlines are taking advantage of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport's new runway and expanding their destinations.

One of the companies doing this is JetBlue Airways which added four new routes from the airport.

The new flights include daily service to Cartagena, Colombia; Las Vegas, Nev.; and Pittsburgh, Pa.; as well as a twice daily service to Jacksonville.

But they aren't the only company taking advantage of the extra space in FLL.

Tame Airlines just began nonstop flights to Quito, Ecuador.

Volaris Airlines is about to begin nonstop service to Mexico City and Guadalajara, Mexico.

Azul Brazilian Airlines is about to begin non-stop to Sao Paulo, Brazil and there are more waiting in the wings.

To add to that, construction at terminal 4 is well underway, meaning even more space in the future for travelers.

Terminal 1 concourse will also break ground soon so there is even more space to come and hopefully even more flights at FLL.
