MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The White House has tapped into crowdfunding to help Syrian refugees.

Kickstarter.com, at the invitation of the White House, has joined efforts to help raise money for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) that has helped more than half a million refugees that fled the country so far this year.

Their Aid Refugees campaign has so far raised more than $900,000 with more than 15,000 people submitting donations to help solve the humanitarian crisis.

Syrian refugees keep flooding Europe daily, escaping war and violence, giving up everything in the process.

Donations options offered as part of the campaign include $15 for a sleeping bag. $30 to give fifty people drinking water, $70 to give them a rescue kit among other options. The highest option is donation of $600 which would provide a year of education and car for a Syrian child.

According to the site, any money donated to the campaign will go directly to USA for UNHCR .

The campaign is scheduled to expire in six days.
