A Sunny South Florida Saturday

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The weekend will be extra nice for outdoor plans and events taking place around the area.

Highs Saturday afternoon will reach the upper 70s with mostly sunny skies.

Boaters will experience strong winds offshore at 15 to 20 knots. Seas will be around 2 to 4 feet with occasionally higher seas near 5 feet.

A cold front will bring rain and some wintry precipitation to parts of the eastern U.S., Saturday. However, the front's tail will swing through South Florida late in the day into the evening and reinforce the cooler and drier air that is already in place.

The front appears to pass through the area without spurring showers, but maybe a few clouds.

Sunday, a nice and pleasant afternoon again with highs in the middle and upper 70s.

Sunny skies will remain with South Florida right into the work week with highs reaching the lower 80s by the middle of the week.
