Seven Injured In Officer-Involved Accident

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) -- The Hollywood Police Department is investigating a car accident involving one of their own Thursday night.

According to police, a call came in at around 7:30 p.m. about four vehicles involved in an accident at N State Road 7 and Sheridan street. One of them was an officer.

It appears a truck rear-ended an officer vehicle causing it to collide into other vehicles.

Seven people were injured in the accident. One is a trauma alert and two others were transported from the scene.  The rest refused treatment.
