MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) – Groundbreaking for the long-awaited Miramar Police Headquarters got underway Wednesday.

The headquarters, a 65,000-square-foot building, is located at the Miramar Town Center.

Displaced since Hurricane Wilma, which hit South Florida in 2005, the newly constructed headquarters will also house the City's Emergency Operations Center.
