2-Year-Old Panther Struck By Car In Collier County

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Another vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Florida panther.

The remains of a 2-year-old uncollared female panther were found and collected on July 5, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.

This is the 14th panther death on Florida's roads so far this year.

The deceased panther was found on Immokalee Road, less than half a mile south of Wild Turkey Drive in Collier County.

According to FWC, The panther was killed in a collision with a vehicle.

The panther's body is at the FWC Gainesville Research Lab where a necropsy will be performed.
