JACKSONVILLE (CBSMiami/AP) — Two girls were shot and injured while riding a school bus in northeast Florida on Thursday. Police are now looking for two people who are suspected of shooting at the bus.

Duval County Public Schools spokeswoman Tia Ford says the shooting occurred in the afternoon on the west side of Jacksonville about 140 miles north of Orlando.

Both victims were taken to a hospital, and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the injuries are not life-threatening.

Authorities say they are looking for two male suspects. Ford said it was not clear if the people who fired the shots were students or adults.

Ford says the bus serves three alternative educational schools in the area of the shooting.
