1 dead, 1 injured in Pompano Beach shooting

MIAMI - Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and sent another to the hospital on Thursday afternoon.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened shortly before 2 p.m., near the 1100 block of Northeast 10th Street.

Responding BSO deputies found two men suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene.

Paramedics transported one man to a local hospital where he later died.

The second man was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle, authorities said.

BSO's Homicide Unit detectives continue to investigate the shooting.
