Prosecutors recommended 21 months of prison time on Thursday for Omar Gonzalez, the man who scaled the White House fence last September and made it all the way into the East Room of the executive mansion before being apprehended by the Secret Service.

Gonzalez pled guilty to two federal charges in January, and he's due to be sentenced next week, though it's likely the sentencing hearing will be delayed at his attorney's request.

While it was the fence-jumping incident that grabbed headlines, Gonzalez had actually been on the radar of law enforcement since at least July of 2014, when he was involved in a car chase in Virginia. When police brought the chase to an end, they searched Gonzalez's car and found a huge cache of weapons along with a map to the White House.

The sentencing memo released Thursday by federal prosecutors included some never-before-seen photos of the weapons that were found in Gonzalez's car after the car chase.

Secret Service agents also searched Gonzalez's car, which was parked around the corner from the White House at 15th St. and Independence Ave. NW, where they found a number of other weapons.
