Young Man Fatally Shot In Long Beach Alleyway

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a man in an alleyway in Long Beach.

Long Beach police responded to the 300 block of E. 67th Street around 9:37 a.m. Sunday where they found a young male adult.

Homicide detectives also responded along with the Los Angeles County Coroner's office and determined that the man had been struck by gunfire.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

A motive for the crime was not known.
