All 3 Billion Yahoo User Accounts Affected In 2013 Hack

SAN FRANCISCO (CBSLA/AP) -- Yahoo says that a 2013 breach affected all 3 billion of its accounts, tripling the number originally reported.

Yahoo originally said in December the breach affected 1 billion users.

The update on the Aug. 2013 data breach was released after a Yahoo investigation by forensic experts, according to Reuters.

Yahoo - now part of Verizon - also said the investigation showed the compromised data did not include passwords or bank account data.
