X-Ray Shows MMA Fighter's Fractured Skull After Knockout

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A gruesome x-ray of a mixed martial arts fighters' dented skull made the rounds online Monday morning.

Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos was knocked out by Michael "Venom" Page with a flying knee to the head at Bellator 158 in London Saturday night.

Santos' ex-wife Cristiane Justino posted the X-ray image above a photo of Santos' face, which had injuries to his nose and a visible dent in the center of his forehead.

The injury was apparently diagnosed as a compound fracture to the front of his skull.

"Cyborg is still in the hospital in the U.K., and they are not sure when he will be able to fly again," Justino wrote in the Instagram caption.

"The doctor said the injury very easily could have been life threatening," Justino wrote.

She also said she set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for his medical costs. As of Monday morning, $19,874 had been raised, just shy of the account's $20,000 fundraising goal.
