Worker Rescued After Trench Collapse In Tustin Breaks His Leg

TUSTIN (CBSLA.com) — A worker suffered a broken leg Friday in the collapse of a trench at a construction site in Tustin.

Firefighters sent to the 12800 block of Robinson Drive at about 9 a.m. found the man trapped in an 18-foot-deep trench, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. William Lackey said.

The 47-year-old man was rescued about 10:20 a.m. and was taken to a hospital.

Firefighters shored up the trench with plywood.
