Work To Restrict PCH In East Malibu On Monday

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Work is slated Monday to shore up a rocky bluff near Pacific Coast Highway that was eroded by high surf that also damaged the Malibu pier earlier this month.

According to Caltrans, one eastbound lane of PCH will be closed Monday morning for a half mile at Las Tunas Beach, between Big Rock and Topanga Creek in Malibu's east end. The work will involve moving concrete barriers that are at risk of falling into the ocean, state officials said.

The closure is expected to last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
