'Work In Progress' Creator, Co-Star Says Web Series Finally Gives 30-Something Women A Platform

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The creator and co-star of web series "Work In Progress" stopped by KCAL9 Saturday morning to discuss her "passion project."

Marquita Terry stars alongside Kristen Miller, Jen Drohan and Dawn Joyal in the series, about a group of 30-something women in different phases of their lives.

"There's happily married, there's going through divorce, there's career... motherhood, pregnancy, it's just so much fun," Terry told KCAL9's Amber Lee, explaining where she got the idea for the show.

"I was super inspired by the women in my life. I have these amazingly talented friends with rich, amazing stories of later in life," she said. "I thought, these are funny stories. I've been a writer for years and I thought it's time to display these stories of this phase in life. I felt it was an under-represented demo in media."

Terry has so far shot and aired 10 episodes of the series.
