Woman's Death In Burning Huntington Beach Motor Home Under Investigation

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — An investigation was underway Thursday into the death of a woman found inside a burning motor home in Huntington Beach.

The 1998 Ford motor home caught fire near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Talbert Avenue about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Huntington Beach police Sgt. David Dereszynski said.

A 51-year-old man escaped the blaze, but was injured. His female companion was not able to escape and died in the fire, Dereszynski said.

She was not immediately identified.

The man was hospitalized in serious condition.
