Woman's Body Found In Burned East Hollywood Apartment Building

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) Firefighters battling a fire at a two-story apartment building Saturday in East Hollywood found the body of a woman inside the building.

Firefighters dispatched at 12:37 p.m. to 1528 N. Hobart Blvd. arrived with reports of a person trapped inside the apartment building and had the fire out within 11 minutes of their arrival, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Scott said the Mayor's Crisis Response team was en route to the scene.

There was no word yet on the cause of the fire or a damage estimate.
