Woman Who Survived Being Stranded For 2 Weeks Is Home Recuperating

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —  Dianna Bedwell Knutson, the 68-year-old Fullerton woman who was reported missing for two weeks after she and her husband left a Valley View casino on Mother's Day, is home and recuperating.

RELATED STORY: Her husband did not survive the ordeal.

The couple was found May 24, 2015, after having been missing for two weeks. Unfortunately, her husband Cecil Knutson, 79, was found deceased.

After Dianna was rescued, she was hospitalized in intensive care and then finally moved out of intensive care. When found, Dianna was experiencing severe dehydration and hypothermia.

Attorney Gloria Allred announced Friday she was hired to represent Knutson.

Allred wrote, "We are happy to state that she has been released from rehab and finally is able to go home. Dianna still has a long road ahead of her because of her grief about the loss of her husband of 27 years and because she is still in recovery. Her family is overjoyed that she is now home and she will continue to have their love and support."

Allread also reported that services for her late husband will be held July 10 at 10:15 a.m. (Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside.) A former Marine, he will be afforded military honors for his service.

Dianna wanted to also thank the community for its continuing support, Allred reported.
