Woman Taken Into Custody After Police Say She Barricaded Self Inside Eagle Rock Home

EAGLE ROCK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say officers have taken a woman into custody after police say she barricaded herself inside an Eagle Rock home.

The Los Angeles Police Department says the department received an "assault with a deadly weapon" call about 1:25 p.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of Laverna Avenue.

The Media Relations division of the LAPD says a married couple had gotten into an argument at which point the wife allegedly grabbed a gun. Police said the woman's husband ran out of the home with a 9-year-old.

The SWAT team was dispatched to the home after police said the woman barricaded herself inside a home.
