Woman Struck By Vehicle In Ladera Heights

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A woman remains hospitalized Saturday after being struck by a vehicle while walking in Ladera Heights.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the accident happened just after 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Officers said a 55-year-old woman crossed South La Brea Avenue against traffic and was struck by a vehicle that was traveling along Stocker Street.

The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and assisted the victim, authorities said.

She was transported to a hospital and was listed in critical condition Friday night.

The woman received surgery on Saturday morning for injuries she sustained in the accident.

At this time, her condition is unknown and no arrests have been made.
