Woman Rescued From Rough Surf In Pacific Palisades

PACIFIC PALISADES (CBSLA.com) — Lifeguards reportedly pulled a woman Sunday from the rough surf off the coast of Pacific Palisades.

The woman was rescued around 5:30 p.m. near the 16300 block of Pacific Coast Highway near Tahiti Avenue, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Lifeguards used CPR and an automatic defibrillator to restore her heartbeat.

Paramedics transported her to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, Humphrey said.

Her condition was unknown but said rescuers' efforts gave her "a fighting chance at survival."
