Woman Passenger, 36, Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Riverside

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A 36-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Riverside Saturday morning.

The crash occurred in the area of California Avenue and Tyler Street.

The woman, a passenger in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, was killed when the vehicle collided with a light pole.

The victim was taken to Riverside Community Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Officials said the male driver was attempting to change lanes when he lost control of the car.

In addition to the driver, and the deceased, a 12-year-old male was riding in the back of the Silverado. The driver and the boy were uninjured.

Riverside Police Department Traffic Bureau Officers said their investigation into the crash is on-going.
