Yorba Linda Man Charged In Murder Of 17-Year-Old Gardena Girl

YORBA LINDA (CBSLA.com) — A Yorba Linda man was charged Thursday with stabbing a 17-year-old girl to death and leaving her body in an upscale neighborhood in Yorba Linda.

Larry Shin, 35, of Yorba Linda was charged with a felony count of special circumstances murder while lying in wait, Orange County District Attorney's officials said.

Shin, with both hands bandaged, appeared in court Thursday, but did not enter a plea.

Shin has been accused of fatally stabbing Aubreyanna Sade Parks of Gardena and leaving her fully-clothed body on a greenbelt in a Yorba Linda neighborhood, near the home where he lives with his mother.

Sheriff's Lt. Jeffrey Hallock said that the girl, who had a prior arrest for prostitution, was killed Tuesday and had been reported missing.

Shin is being held without bail and faces a sentence of life in state prison without the possibility of parole if convicted.

Shin allegedly communicated with the teen and asking her to meet him in Yorba Linda prior to her murder.

The relationship between Parks and Shin remains unclear.
